EXTNAME = ZCATALOG
Core redshift and targeting columns from the healpix-based Redrock redshift catalogs. Imaging photometry columns are in the companion zpix-SURVEY-PROGRAM-imaging.fits file. All remaining columns (full Redrock output, TSNR2, emission lines, QuasarNET, quality flags) are in zpix-SURVEY-PROGRAM-extra.fits.
Z_BEST is the recommended redshift to use. It equals Z (Redrock) for most
targets, but is set to Z_QSO (QuasarNET) for confirmed QSO targets where the
two differ by more than 1000 km/s. Z_CONF encodes the overall confidence:
0 = no confidence; 1 = ZWARN==0 but not LSS-quality; 3 = passes LSS quality cuts
for at least one extragalactic tracer class.
TEMNAMnn and TEMVERnn record the Redrock template names and versions
used for the redshift fits.

Notes and Examples
The targeting bitmasks
DESI_TARGET,BGS_TARGET,MWS_TARGET, andSCND_TARGETonly apply toSURVEY="main"targets; they are not set for targets in other surveys.Similarly, the
SV1_DESI_TARGETetc. target masks are only set for the corresponding survey; there is no propagation of targeting bits across surveys.
GOOD_Z_{BGS,LRG,ELG,QSO}flags are in the companion zpix-SURVEY-PROGRAM-extra.fits file.This file does not contain
SV_NSPEC,SV_PRIMARY,MAIN_NSPEC, orMAIN_PRIMARY; these are added when zpix files are combined into zall-pix-SPECPROD.fits.
EFFTIME_SPECis the effective exposure time computed asSNR2TIME * TSNR2_X, whereTSNR2_Xis chosen by program:TSNR2_LRGfor dark,TSNR2_BGSfor bright,TSNR2_GPBBACKUPfor backup.SNR2TIMEis a per-tracer normalization factor from the TSNR ensemble template files indesimodel.For the SURVEY=cmx m33 tile (TILEID=80615) tile and all the SURVEY=sv1 tiles (except TILEID=80971-80976, the dc3r2 ones), proper-motion correction was applied at the fiberassign design step; thus the following columns can have different values than in the desitarget products:
TARGET_RA,TARGET_DEC,REF_EPOCH,PLATE_RA,PLATE_DEC, andPLATE_REF_EPOCH.
